If you watch TV, I’m sure you remember those commercials announcing the new JCPenney “Fair and Square Every Day” pricing strategy. Most people were confused. Some were annoyed by these commercials. A few of us actually thought it was a brilliant marketing campaign. Regardless, the new pricing strategy took effect in January of this year. I will admit, I didn’t warm up to the new three tier pricing system that included “Every Day Prices,” “Month Long Values,” and “Best Prices.” They did away with outlet and clearance prices.
