Confessions Of A Cranky Shopper

For the most part, I purchase most of my clothes at a handful of retailers.  I know exactly what sizes to get and when the sales run.  These retailers keep up with the latest trends, but they continue to offer classic styles that have remained popular year after year.  I’m a simple kind of gal and this works for me.  What shakes up my world is when I have to shop for something that isn’t a typical part of my wardrobe.  There is only one person on the face of this earth that I take on these shopping expeditions…my mother.  She is the only one who has successfully kept her sanity intact while I was heading down the path of losing mine.

Nerdy Girl Gone A Little Wild

I’m keeping my fingers crossed that, in less than 24 hours, I will officially be able to say I survived the Mass Chaos Tour 2012.  In order for that to even remotely make an ounce of sense, you must establish a visual.  I’m almost 40.  I do, however, still get carded for drinks.  Obviously my skin care regimen is working in my favor.  Anyway.  I dress comfortable.  My wardrobe consists of mostly denim or bohemian skirts, v-neck tees from Old Navy, plaid lounge pants, striped socks and my beloved Crocs flip flops.  I’m all nerded up with my thick framed glasses.  I often wear my hair in a sloppy bun that ends up being home to several pens, plastic straws and, quite possibly, endangered species.

Celebrity Style: Shearling & an Old Navy Outerwear Discount

Hollywood sweethearts and real life best friends, Ashley Tisdale and Vanessa Hudgens have been known to share clothing, and this Fall the starlets are swapping the latest in Fall trends.  Up first, the shearling coat.  Both Vanessa and Ashley were spotted this week rocking the WINK Tiffany Shearling Jacket.  The Tiffany Jacket is the perfect Fall transition jacket – with a vintage and contemporary mix of white shearling and brown suede exterior, but with a $345 price tag, the chic jacket is less than affordable.
